Summary of Changes from Previous Version

This policy incorporates and updates the current Bespoke Program Procedures. While there have been several amendments to improve structure and clarity, the major change is to move governance responsibility from the Bespoke Programs Governance Group (no evidence has been found regarding the formation of this group) to the existing Education Enterprise Directorate Education Committee (DEC). This will ensure the program will have oversight within the current academic governance structure with appropriate reporting lines into Teaching and Learning Committee and Curriculum Committee. The Education Enterprise DEC appears to be a logical choice to provide this oversight, noting representation from among the faculties in the membership and the expectation that the Education Enterprise area will have increasing involvement in the non‐award and short course space.

Noting that UNE’s bespoke programs do not appear to have been subject to a recent review, it is proposed that the program be reviewed by the Education Enterprise DEC (with assistance from Education Futures) in the first half of 2023 to determine ongoing suitability and appropriateness.
