Summary of Changes from Previous Version

On November 9, 2016, Commonwealth Government announced a number of changes to the way its research training is conducted in Australian Universities. One of the requirements of these changes is that each University have a Research Training Programs (RTP) Policy. The aim of this policy is to ensure that HDR candidates and their supervisors have ready access to the rules and conditions of the RTP Scholarships (formerly APA and IPRS scholarships). The Commonwealth requires the RTP policy to be published on the University website by June 30, 2017. The attached policy has been endorsed by the Graduate Research Subcommittee, and ratified by the University Research Committee and approved by Academic Board on 19 June 2017.
