(1) The University of New England established a (2) This Policy applies to any person that brings a vehicle on to the UNE Armidale Academic and Bellevue Campus. (26) An abandoned vehicle refers to any vehicle whose registration has expired, and/or has not been moved for a period of at least 30 days or is of unknown ownership. (27) Any vehicle that is suspected of being abandoned will be removed. (40) Only vehicles displaying both a valid Australian Disability Parking Scheme and Mobility Parking Scheme permits are permitted to park in disabled bays. (41) Any University issued permits, including Temporary Mobility Permits do not allow parking in a disabled bay. (42) Special event parking is a designated area on campus that is established to cater for an anticipated increase in vehicle numbers attending an event where normal parking arrangements are not expected to meet that demand. (43) Special event parking areas will be clearly designated by signage. (44) A (45) Permits are sold for selected periods from 1 hour through to 1 year for designated permit categories. (46) Other than daily permits which are sold on a pro-rata basis, all other (47) Selected permit types can be purchased: (48) Permits are non-refundable. (55) The University's Chief Operating Officer is the Policy Administrator of this Policy, and is authorised to make procedures to assist in the operation of this Policy. (56) Fees and charges are subject to Consumer Price Index (CPI) variations and any such variation will be applied on an annual basis at the discretion of the Chief Operating Officer. (57) This Policy operates as and from the (58) Previous Policy and Procedure documents relating to parking are replaced and have no further operation from the (59) Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Policy, the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer (VC&CEO) may approve an exception to this Policy where the VC&CEO determines the application of this Policy would otherwise lead to an unfair, unreasonable or absurd outcome. Approvals by the VC&CEO under this clause must: (60) The administration and enforcement of this Policy shall be the responsibility of Estate and Built Environment. (61) Campus means the whole of land defined under Schedule 2 of the Road Transport (General) Regulation 2021. (62) Contracted Service Provider means an organisation or individual that engages with the University to undertake construction, maintenance or repair type work. A Contracted Service Provider is not an organization or individual that performs administrative, teaching or (63) Permissive parking sign means a notification in language or symbol erected, painted on or affixed to a building or structure or marked on the ground or otherwise displayed including on any part of the Campus displayed by authority of the VC&CEO, and "sign" includes markings which indicate a pedestrian crossing. (64) Pay Parking Device is a system or equipment used for the collection of parking fees. (65) Penalty notice means a general penalty notice on which particulars of an offence alleged to have been committed against the UNE Parking Policy and are recorded either in electronic or printed form. (66) Trade Worker means an employee of, or sub-contractor to, a Contracted Service Provider. (67) Vehicle means motorised vehicle or any description of vehicle upon wheels. (68) Residing means sleeping/ camping overnight in a vehicle on any UNE campus. (69) Disabled bay means a parking bay signposted with a Roads and Maritime Services Disabled symbol. (70) Loading means when a vehicle stops or parks in a signposted loading bay in order to load and unload goods. (71) Mobility parking means the Roads and Maritime Services Mobility Parking scheme (MPS) that provides parking concessions to people with mobility issues.Parking Policy

Red bays are individually numbered and are for the exclusive use of the allocated permit holder.
Permitted for use in allocated red bay and blue bays.
On separation from UNE red bay permits are surrendered. Where surrendered, the owner is eligible to receive a blue permit with the same expiry date.
Applications open January and close February yearly.
Precedence is given to staff holding a position of Director-Head of School or above.
Unallocated red bays may be offered to eligible staff and students.
Decision on allocation is final.
