A higher doctorate is awarded for an original research contribution of distinguished merit that adds substantially to the knowledge and understanding of any branch of learning, including creative arts, with which the University is concerned. The University awards the following higher doctorates: - Doctor of Letters (DLitt) - Doctor of Science (DSc)
